O-(methacryloyloxyethyl)-N-(triethoxysilylpropyl) carbamate is an organic compound with the chemical formula C15H33NO5Si. It is a colorless liquid with low toxicity and good solubility.
O-(methacryloyloxyethyl)-N-(triethoxysilylpropyl) carbamate is mainly used in the synthesis of acrylic resins and silicone materials. In acrylic resin, it can be used as a crosslinking agent to increase the stability and weather resistance of the material. In silicone materials, it can enhance the adhesion and mechanical properties of silicone rubber.
O-(methacryloyloxyethyl)-N-(triethoxysilylpropyl) carbamate can be prepared by first reacting methacryloyl chloride with carbamate to obtain an intermediate; and then reacting this intermediate with a silane reagent to produce O-(methacryloyloxyethyl)-N-(triethoxysilylpropyl) carbamate.
